Staffordshire Bull is a small section of two prints of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, the stocky, affectionate breed that is one of the most popular family dogs in Britain.
The first is a Mike Sibley pencil head study. Mike Sibley trained at Leeds College of Art and is known for pencil drawings of extraordinary detail - a single head study can take seventy hours or more, and it looks as though every hair has been drawn. The Staffie's broad head and short coat are a good test of that kind of patience, and the drawing is all texture and muscle.
The second is a colour portrait by Brian Hupfield, a British artist known for realistic dog portraits and for capturing the characteristics of each breed. It is around 41 x 28 cm before mounting.
Both are lithographs on fade-resistant paper with fade-resistant inks, and both are £19.99. For related breeds, see Bull Terriers and the wider Terriers section. If the breed or pose you want is not here, ask us - we are a small family business and we are happy to check.
