Prints of Dogs by Britain's Leading Canine Artists
Our Dogs collection holds more than two hundred prints by some of Britain's finest canine artists, including Mike Sibley, Brian Hupfield, Pollyanna Pickering, Ken Messom, Michael O'Brien, Pamela Ryan and Gill Evans. Every popular breed is here, from retrievers and terriers to collies, spaniels, setters and the toy breeds. Each print is a giclee reproduction on archival paper, has never been displayed, and fits a standard mount. Most are under twenty pounds.

There is a particular kind of person who can pick their own dog out of a line-up of fifty, and this collection is for them. Our Dogs category holds more than two hundred prints, and almost every one of them began as an original drawing or painting by an artist who spent a long time getting a single breed right.
Mike Sibley is the name most people arrive here looking for. He left Leeds College of Art in 1970, and after meeting his wife Jenny, who bred and exhibited horses and animals, he turned his talents in that direction. He has been a professional artist for over twenty years and often spends more than two hundred hours on a single graphite drawing. That time shows. In his Afghan Hound every hair seems to have been drawn individually; in his Border Collie you can read the dog's intention in its eyes. We hold close to fifty Sibley prints, covering the breeds he returned to most often.
Alongside him you will find Brian Hupfield, whose looser, warmer line suits the bull breeds particularly well, and Pollyanna Pickering, one of Britain's best known wildlife artists. Ken Messom, Michael O'Brien, Pamela Ryan, Gill Evans and B.A. Crosby are all represented here too. Between them they cover ground no single artist could.
The collection is organised the way owners actually think about dogs. Working dogs sit together: the collies, the labradors and the gundogs earning their keep in a field rather than posing for a portrait. Terriers have their own section, from the border and the cairn up to the bull terriers. There are dedicated pages for collies, retrievers, setters, pointers, spaniels, dachshunds in all three coats, and the toy breeds. If you already know the breed you want, the filters will take you straight to it. If you are browsing for a gift, the breed groups are the better way in.
Almost everything here is a giclee print, and that matters more than it sounds. Giclee printing uses fade-resistant archival inks on archival paper, so the print will not yellow or wash out the way a cheap poster reproduction does. These are made to be framed and kept. Sizes vary by artist, but most sit around 41 x 28 cm before mounting, which fits a standard off-the-shelf frame without a trip to a framer.
Prices generally run from sixteen to twenty pounds, with a few of the larger or scarcer pieces costing more. Every print we hold has stayed in its wrapping since the day it was bought, has never been hung or displayed, and comes to you clean and unmarked.
If you cannot find the breed you are after, it is worth asking. We are a small family business, we have been selling prints for over twenty years, and we usually know what is in the back of the cupboard.
