Bedfordshire: Prints of Woburn and Bedford
Three Martin Goode watercolour prints of Bedfordshire: the Market Place at Woburn, Woburn Abbey in its deer park, and the river bridge at Bedford over the Great Ouse. All three are the 20 x 13 cm size at fourteen pounds, printed on fade-resistant paper and sized for a standard mount.

Bedfordshire is a small section of three Martin Goode watercolours, all of them from the county's two best-known places: Woburn and Bedford itself.
Two come from Woburn - the Market Place in the village, and Woburn Abbey, the house of the Dukes of Bedford set in its deer park. The third is the river bridge at Bedford, looking across the Great Ouse, which is one of the more attractive town centre river views in the south Midlands.
Martin Goode was known for his attention to detail and his carefully constructed compositions, and his prints are small - around 15 x 10 cm or 20 x 13 cm before mounting - so they suit a standard off-the-shelf mount and frame. These three are the larger 20 x 13 cm size and cost fourteen pounds.
Bedfordshire is not a county that gets painted as often as it deserves, so the section is short. Hertfordshire next door is one of the larger English sections, with a dozen Goode prints of Berkhamsted, Harpenden, Hitchin, Royston and the villages around them. Cambridgeshire, to the north-east, has prints of Ely and Peterborough cathedrals. If the place you are looking for is not here, ask us - we are a small family business and we are happy to check.
