Leicestershire: Watercolour Prints of Old Leicester

Leicestershire has four Martin Goode watercolours, and all four are of the old centre of Leicester.
The Castle Gateway and Rupert's Gate are two of the surviving entrances to the castle precinct, close to the river and the medieval church of St Mary de Castro. The Guildhall is the timber-framed hall beside the cathedral, one of the best preserved of its kind in the country. Town Hall Square is the Victorian heart of the city, with its fountain and its red-brick town hall.
Martin Goode was known for his attention to detail and his carefully constructed compositions, and his prints are small - around 15 x 10 cm or 20 x 13 cm before mounting - so they suit a standard off-the-shelf mount and frame. All four are the larger 20 x 13 cm size.
Each print is fourteen pounds. Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Warwickshire and Staffordshire all have their own sections if you are looking elsewhere in the East Midlands. If the place you are looking for is not here, ask us - we are a small family business and we are happy to check.
