Oxfordshire: Prints of Oxford, Woodstock and Kidlington

Four Martin Goode watercolour prints of Oxfordshire: Tom Quad at Christ Church, Oxford, the Bear Inn and the Town Hall at Woodstock by Blenheim Palace, and Kidlington village. Eleven to fourteen pounds, sized for a standard mount.

  • 1

Oxfordshire has four Martin Goode watercolours: one from Oxford itself and three from the villages and small towns just to the north.

Tom Quad is the great quadrangle of Christ Church, the largest in Oxford, with Wren's Tom Tower over the gate. Woodstock, the town at the gates of Blenheim Palace, appears twice - the Bear Inn and the Town Hall - and there is a print of Kidlington village as well.

Martin Goode was known for his attention to detail and his carefully constructed compositions, and his prints are small - around 15 x 10 cm or 20 x 13 cm before mounting - so they suit a standard off-the-shelf mount and frame.

Tom Quad is eleven pounds and the other three, the larger 20 x 13 cm size, are fourteen. Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Wiltshire all border the county, and each has its own section.
