Staffordshire: Prints of Lichfield and Alton
Two Martin Goode watercolour prints of Staffordshire: Minster Pool at Lichfield with the three spires of the cathedral beyond, and Tower Street in Alton below Alton Towers. Eleven and fourteen pounds, sized for a standard mount.

- 1
Staffordshire has two Martin Goode watercolours, one from each end of the county.
Minster Pool at Lichfield looks across the water to the three spires of Lichfield Cathedral, the only medieval English cathedral with three, and it is one of the classic views of the city. The other is Tower Street at Alton, the village below Alton Towers in the Churnet Valley, with the older, quieter side of the place that most visitors drive straight past.
Martin Goode was known for his attention to detail and his carefully constructed compositions, and his prints are small - around 15 x 10 cm or 20 x 13 cm before mounting - so they suit a standard off-the-shelf mount and frame.
Alton is eleven pounds and Minster Pool, the larger 20 x 13 cm size, is fourteen. Derbyshire, Cheshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands all border the county and each has its own section.
