About the artist Martin Goode
Martin was born in London and showed interest in sketching and cartooning from his early schooldays. He lived in Tillicoultry, Scotland for 5 years, which inspired his passion for the rugged British countryside. His non-stop drawing soon turned to painting which he continued to study in his home county of Essex. Martin's career started as a creative photographer, then a commercial artist and graphic designer. In 1987 the combination of art, photography and printing paved the way to form Images of Britain in Watercolour by Martin, publishing over 2,000 fine art prints depicting scenes of British and Irish cities, towns, villages and landmarks. Martin sadly passed away in 2002.
